From 27 to 29 November 2024, the historic and monumental city of Bukhara will host a series of significant events organized under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). These events aim to enhance cultural, historical and tourism ties among Turkic nations, emphasizing their shared heritage and fostering cooperation. The program includes a conference on Tabarruk Ziyarat, focusing on the preservation and promotion of sacred destinations; a meeting of Turkic Tourism Agencies to discuss strategies for boosting regional tourism; and a workshop on the common heritage of Alp Er Tunga, emphasizing his enduring legacy in the Turkic history.
These initiatives underscore the OTS’s commitment to fostering unity and collaboration among Turkic nations through cultural heritage and tourism. The choice of Bukhara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a historical hub of Turkic civilization, underscores the city’s symbolic role in connecting the past, present, and future of the Turkic world.
The outcomes of these events are expected to advance cooperation in cultural preservation, tourism development, and the celebration of the shared history and values of Turkic nations.
