In the framework of his working visit to Ankara, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman met with Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yavuz Selim Kıran, Head of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities Abdullah Eren, Director General for International Organizations and External Relations of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Ahmet Temurci on 27-28 December 2018 in Ankara.
Within the scope of the meeting held with the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the parties exchanged views on the steps to be taken in the next period for the promotion of the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package on the international arena. Minister Ersoy noted that the Ministry will continue to support the promotion of the tour package and its destinations at the international tourism fairs.
Within the scope of the meeting held with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kıran, Deputy Secretary General Kocaman provided information regarding the steps taken to implement the decisions taken at the 6th Summit of the Turkic Council. The parties also exchanged views on the planning of the 4th World Nomad Games, which will take place in 2020 in Turkey, and its coordination among the relevant institutions in the upcoming period.
Within the context of the meeting held with the Head of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities Eren, the parties discussed the plan for the implementation of activities in 2019 in accordance with the decisions taken during the 3rd Meeting of Ministers and Heads of Institutions in Charge of Diaspora Affairs that was held on 8 November 2018 in Ankara. The parties also agreed that the Turkic Council and the Presidency will develop joint projects in the field of youth.
During the meeting, which brought together the representatives of the relevant institutions under the chairmanship of Director General for International Organizations and External Relations of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Ahmet Temurci, the parties made assessments on the steps to be taken for the preparation to the 4th World Nomad Games, which is going to be held in 2020 in Turkey, as was reflected in the decisions taken at the 6th Summit of the Turkic Council.
