On this solemn occasion, we observe 6 February, the Day of Remembrance of Disaster Victims and Solidarity, collectively declared by the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). 
The tragedy that Türkiye suffered in 2023, during which the Turkic nations demonstrated exceptional solidarity, underscored the critical importance of an organized emergency response and enhanced cooperation in disaster management. This experience reaffirmed the need for deeper collaboration in disaster preparedness and response efforts.
In a significant step toward strengthening disaster response capabilities, the Heads of Related Institutions of OTS Member States signed the Agreement on the Establishment of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the OTS during the 11th Summit in Bishkek last November. This landmark agreement will enhance our collective preparedness and improve coordinated action in times of crisis.
As the Organization of Turkic States, we remain committed to strengthening our cooperation in this vital field.
On this significant occasion, we reaffirm our unwavering unity and solidarity in times of crisis. We sincerely hope that no such tragedy ever occurs again and that all our people may live in safety and security.
