The 4th Meeting of the Ministers in charge of Energy of the Organization of Turkic States was convened on 16 September 2024 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.
Ministers of Energy and high-level officials of the OTS Member States and Observers, as well as H.E. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS took part at the meeting.
Discussions focused on implementation of joint-projects, renewable energy potential of the Turkic states, energy consumption and supply chain subjects in the OTS region.
Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev underlined the untapped potential of the Turkic States in producing, exporting and transiting energy resources. He emphasized that implementation of joint projects in energy sector will serve to ensure energy security not only in the Turkic States, but also in the whole region.
The Parties signed the Joint Communiqué on the results
of the 4th Meeting of the Ministers in charge of Energy of the Organization of Turkic States which includes initiatives on the establishment of the Center of Technologies and Green Initiatives of the OTS and holding annual professional skills competitions among the energy specialists of the Turkic States.
The Parties agreed to hold the next meeting in the Republic of Türkiye in 2025.
