Organization of Turkic States co-hosted Forum on Innovation and Technology Development in the Turkic Region in Tashkent 
The Forum on the theme "Role of Innovation and Technology Development in the Turkic Region" was organized in the framework of the International Week of Innovative Ideas "InnoWeek.Uz -2021" on 23 November 2021 in Tashkent. 
Co-hosted by the Organization of Turkic States and the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Forum was attended by Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov, Deputy Secretary General of Organization of Turkic States Mirvokhid Azimov and Deputy Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Zalkarbek Karybekov, as well as representatives of the public and private sector, IT specialists and scientists from the Member States. 
Deputy Secretary General Mirvokhid Azimov delivered a welcoming speech at the Forum. Stressing great importance attached to the cooperation in IT and digitalization by the Heads of State, he emphasized that this event would serve as a valuable platform for sharing insights on current development trends in IT sector in the Turkic region and learning about the latest technological developments, innovations and start-ups, which would play a significant role in increasing efficiency and effectiveness in relevant spheres.
During two panel sessions on the topics "Regional Technology Development: from Past to Present" and "Turkic Model of IT and Technology Transfer Cooperation", participants had interactive discussions on the evolution of technology development in the Turkic region and exchanged best practices and views on enhancing coordination among relevant national/regional actors and IT and innovative companies and high-tech parks operating in the region, as well as explored main challenges faced by the Turkic countries in this field.
