Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Dr. Ömer Kocaman took part as a speaker at the opening session of the “Global Strategy Conference 2023” held in hybrid format in Istanbul co-organized by the Center for Diplomatic Relations and Political Studies (DIPAM), Hungarian National Public Administration University and Istinye University.
Dedicated to the theme of “Securitized World Order and New Security Spaces” the Conference aims to establish a platform to discuss the transforming shapes and conditions of many factors of the security phenomenon and its global effects with the participation of experts from different fields in an environment of rich perspective and deep analysis.
Addressing the participants as one of the key speakers of the opening session, OTS Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman, in his speech entitled "The Organization of Turkic States as a new actor in Eurasia", conveyed information about the establishment and history of the Organization, as well as its principles, mission and vision, and touched upon its cooperation activities carried out in more than 20 fields.
Touching upon the unpredictability and anarchy in international politics, Mr. Kocaman underlined the growing security relations among Member States and Observers with special regard to military and defense industry cooperation.
Drawing attention to the importance of the Organization in the multipolar world order, Deputy Secretary General also mentioned about policy consultations among the relevant directorates of governmental authorities of Member States to face the challenges posed by the anarchic international order.
Many local and foreign academicians, statesmen, business people, representatives of regional and international institutions attend the conference, which will last for two days at İstinye University.
