On 12 April 2025, on the margins of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, H.E. Alain Berset, to explore avenues for stronger institutional dialogue and cooperation. The meeting focused on advancing cooperation in areas of shared interest, including education and digitalization.

Ambassador Omuraliev underlined the OTS’s commitment to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Turkic region, noting that many of its strategic priorities align with the core values of the Council of Europe. He also emphasized the growing scope of the OTS and its role as a multilateral platform uniting Member and Observer States across Europe and Asia.

The two sides agreed on the importance of strengthening dialogue between their organizations and expressed openness to future joint initiatives that support democratic governance, social inclusion, and sustainable development.
