On 3 March 2025, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Kubanychbek Omuraliyev received H.E. Fathudin Ali Mohamed, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Türkiye, at the premisses of the OTS Secretariat.

During the meeting, both sides discussed key issues of mutual interest, focusing particularly on the cooperation between the OTS and Somalia within the framework of the African Union cooperation.

The parties underscored the significance of enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including economic development and trade. Ambassador Fathudin Ali Mohamed reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to strengthening engagement with OTS and the OTS Member States.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to enhancing cooperation and building stronger diplomatic and strategic relations between the OTS and Somalia, contributing to regional stability and development.
