H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) had a meeting with H.E. Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the margins of the 4th Meeting of the Ministers in charge of Energy of the Organization of Turkic States held on 16 September 2024 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. 
The Parties emphasized the importance of promoting energy cooperation within the framework of the OTS and highly evaluated the outcomes of the 4th Meeting of the Ministers in charge of Energy of the Turkic States in developing a shared vision and common priorities in the energy sector.
Highlighting the significance of the upcoming COP29 in November in 2024 in Azerbaijan, the Parties stressed that this international event might serve as a key platform for putting forward and discussing green initiatives of the Turkic States in energy cooperation.
