President of Turkish Space Agency, Mr. Serdar Hüseyin Yıldırım visited the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States on 26 November 2021 and met with the Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev.
Hüseyin Yıldırım briefed Baghdad Amreyev on the activities of the Turkish Space Agency which was established in 2018 and expressed their intention to establish cooperation among the Member and Observer States of the Organization of Turkic States in the field of space.
Secretary General Amreyev shared with Mr. Yıldırım the latest activities of the Organization as well as the outcomes of its 8th Summit, which took place on 12 November 2021 in Istanbul and his vision on the space cooperation among the Member and Observer States.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospective cooperation opportunities in the field of space industry such as developing joint satellite projects (cube), organizing joint workshops as well as youth space camps and further agreed to realize joint projects in this sphere.
Parties also exchanged their views on different topics of common interest.
