The First Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Agriculture and Second Working Group Meeting on Agriculture Cooperation of the Organization of Turkic States will take place on 3-4 July in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. On the margins of the Ministerial Meeting, the “Turkic Agro-Forum” for the private sector representatives will be also organized on 4 July 2022.
Hosted by H.E. Jamshid Khodjaev, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of the OTS, the Meeting will be attended by the Ministers of Agriculture of the OTS Member and Observer States.
During the meeting, the signing of the Communiqué of the First Meeting of Ministers will take place.
The Ministers will attend the inauguration of the “Turkic Agro Forum” and will deliver the keynote speeches. The aim of the Forum is to expand economic interconnections in the agro-industrial complex, increase trade and mobilize investments to implement mutually beneficial projects.
Following the inauguration, the Forum will continue with the thematic sessions with speeches and presentations of investment proposals in the agricultural sector, company projects and opportunities to expand cooperation with business structures. In addition, B2B meetings and bilateral negotiations will provide a suitable place for communication and establishing new contacts between forum participants.
