Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States held an online ad hoc meeting on agriculture development with the participation of experts from relevant authorities of member and observer countries as well as the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) and Budapest Office of the Organization on 20 December 2021.
Parties discussed the practical issues of enhancing multilateral cooperation in agriculture by establishing sub-working groups covering various areas of the agriculture dimension, particularly research and development, economic issues in agriculture, implementation of agriculture techniques and projects, and agriculture seeds.
Experts also exchanged views on creating a legal framework of agriculture collaboration and conducting “Turkic Agro-Forum” to be held in Uzbekistan in 2022 with the participation of agricultural business communities and financial institutions from Member and Observer States in order to activate B2B and G2B cooperation in the field of agriculture.
