Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev participated in the International Conference « Dialogue is the Guarantee of Peace », which was organized by Turkmenistan on 11 December 2022 in Ashgabat with the participation of heads and representatives of leading international and regional organizations, ministries and agencies of invited countries, prominent public and political figures, and international experts.
The plenary session of the Conference was moderated by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan H.E. Rashid Meredov and attended by heads of the world’s leading international and regional organizations, heads of the ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan, diplomatic missions, and media.
During his welcoming remarks, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Foreign Minister expressed that the UN Charter is currently the constitution for the entire world community and there is no other international structure that could replace UN’s activities. Adding that the values of UN for ensuring peace, cooperation and respect in international affairs are still important for the modern world, Foreign Minister expressed his country’s strong belief in the leading role of the UN in maintaining peace and dialogue.
He also noted that in the face of growing military-political confrontations, problems associated with the consequences of the pandemic, the food crisis, information wars, loss of trust in each other, global economic challenges, only cooperation, trust, and joint efforts can guarantee a peaceful, peaceful, and predictable future for future generations.

Kubanychbek Omuraliev delivered a speech during the plenary session of the Conference and underlined the timeliness and significance of Turkmenistan’s initiative to hold the high-level International Conference “Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace” on the eve of the Neutrality Day of Turkmenistan.
Touching upon the vital role of dialogue and mutual trust in tackling current global and regional challenges collectively, Secretary General highlighted that Turkmen neutrality had demonstrated its viability in addressing these issues and represents an advantage for the Turkic family as it contributes to its common efforts to maintain peace, security, and prosperity in the region and beyond.
Secretary General Omuraliev concluded that the Organization of Turkic States will expand its regional potential with an increased involvement of Turkmenistan into the joint cooperation efforts and become even more active making use of the established cooperative spirit among its members in responding today’s challenges.
