Secretary General of Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreyev met with Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan H.E. Yerlan Koshanov on 17 June 2022 in Nur-Sultan.
Secretary General expressed his appreciation to the Chairman for his warm reception of the OTS delegation. B.Amreyev briefed Y.Koshanov on the rich agenda of the Organization and its current activities with a particular emphasis on boosting the political, economic and cultural ties, increasing intra-trade and developing intensive cooperation in transport, tourism and energy sectors under the auspices of the OTS.
Emphasizing the successful organization of the recent Constitutional referendum in Kazakhstan, Secretary General commended the large-scale reforms being carried out in new Kazakhstan by President H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the field of state and social construction, improving the business environment and investment climate.
Secretary General underlined the great importance of the clear stand of Kazakhstan leadership for strengthening friendship and strategic partnership with the Turkic countries.
Chairman Koshanov stated that developing the eternal brotherhood and strategic partnership with the Turkic States are among the top priorities of Kazakhstan's political leadership.
His Excellency expressed his gratitude for the efforts of Secretary General Amreyev in boosting the unity of the Turkic World and deepening the multifaceted cooperation among the Turkic countries.
Chairman Koshanov pointed out that, thanks to the efforts of the Heads of State the OTS had entered into a new phase of expanding multidimensional cooperation, strengthening the multilateral relations, and deepening the unprecedented closer ties among the Member States.
Y.Koshanov and B. Amreyev discussed in detail the agenda of the upcoming 11th plenary session of Turkic Parliamentary Assembly ( TurkPA) to be held on 23-24 June 2022 in Cholpan Ata, Kyrgyzstan.
The Chairman and Secretary General also exchanged views on number of pressing international and regional issues of common concern.
