Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States met with the Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Baghdad Amreyev met with the Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Muratbek Azymbakiev on 9 June 2022 in Bishkek.

Secretary General informed Head of the Foreign Policy Department on the latest activities of the Organization and its upcoming events. He highly evaluated role of the Kyrgyz Republic in strengthening and enhancing of the cooperation in the framework of the OTS. Bagdad Amreyev expressed hope that the Kyrgyzstan will continue to make a significant contribution to the development of comprehensive cooperation for the benefit of the Turkic world.

Mr.Azymbakiyev noted the effective work carried out by the Secretariat and thanked Secretary General Amreyev for his high activity in strengthening and enhancing of the Turkic cooperation. At the same time, he assured the Secretary General that the Kyrgyz side will support Secretariat on all initiatives aimed at building result oriented and constructive interaction within the framework of the OTS.

The Parties discussed the upcoming Summit, which will be held in Uzbekistan in November 2022, and agreed to work jointly for the preparation for the meeting of the Heads of the Turkic States. Particularly they eleborated on the main areas of current undertakings of the Secretariat of the Organization, especially in the field of economy.

B. Amreyev and M.Azymbakiev drew special attention on the completion of agreements on simplified custom corridor, combined transport, preferential and free trade in services, as well as the Turkic Investment Fund.

Baghdad Amreyev and Muratbek Azymbakiev also exchanged their views on current political and economic situation in regional and global agenda.
