Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States participated in the opening ceremony of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries

On 5 August 2025, H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), participated in the opening ceremony of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), held in Awaza, Turkmenistan.

The Conference gathered Heads of State, high-level government officials, and representatives of international and regional organizations to address the persistent development challenges faced by landlocked developing countries and to explore practical solutions to enhance their connectivity, trade, and resilience.

Throughout the conference, Secretary General Omuraliev held high-level engagements with several dignitaries and senior officials. He underscored the OTS’s commitment to strengthening regional and international partnerships aimed at improving sustainable transport infrastructure, trade facilitation, and digital connectivity.

The Secretary General also reiterated the strategic role of the Turkic region in facilitating transcontinental trade and emphasized the importance of collective action in ensuring inclusive growth and integration of landlocked nations into the global economy.
