Secretary General of the Turkic Council, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev received the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan, Kairat Imanaliyev and Director of the National Cultural Center of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, Zhumakadyr Kurmangaliyev on 20 November 2020 in Istanbul.
During the meeting Secretary General underlined the special role of Kyrgyzstan as the founder of the “World Nomad Games” (WNG) that was initiated by the Turkic Council in its 2nd Summit in 2012 in Bishkek. He emphasized that the Turkic Council also assumed a special responsibility in the organization of all three Games held so far in Kyrgyzstan.
Noting that the WNG represents the cultural heritage of the entire Turkic Speaking States and peoples, B.Amreyev stressed the need for the simultaneous concentration of common efforts of the Members for the popularization and sustainability of the Games, that could elevate its standards to a global level.
Deputy Minister Imanalıyev expressed the appreciation of the Kyrgyz side for the support of the Secretariat to the endeavors for encouraging the development and promotion of youth and sports in the Member States.
In line with joint efforts for the organization of next WNG in Turkey, Deputy Minister stated that the Government of Kyrgyzstan stands ready to contribute to the success of the next Games, which will be hosted by Turkey in İznik, Bursa in 2021.
Parties agreed to join their efforts for development and cooperation in the field of youth and sports by organizing various events and implementing tangible projects.
