Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of the Turkic Council was received by H.E. Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 13 March 2019.
During the meeting, Secretary General briefed the Chairman on the current activities of the Turkic Council and its efforts for enhancing cooperation of the Member States in the areas of trade, investments, transport, tourism, youth and sports, education, as well as about the process of enlargement of the organization.
Chairman Nigmatulin and Secretary General Amreyev paid special attention to the implementation of initiatives proposed by H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on structural reforms of the Turkic cooperation institutes.
They also discussed preparations for the Seventh Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, which is scheduled for this year in Azerbaijan.
