The 8th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Youth and Sports of the Organization of Turkic States was held on 9 September 2024 in Astana, the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Meeting was attended and addressed by the Ministers in charge of Youth and Sports of the Member States and Observers and the Secretary General of the OTS.

H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the OTS, briefed the participants about the activities in the field of youth and sports, which were organized in 2024. He highlighted the importance of focusing on concrete projects and initiatives in the relevant field, which will serve to further unity and solidarity among the Turkic youth. He congratulated the Kazakh side on the successful launch of the 5th World Nomad Games on 8 September 2024 in Astana.

The Parties expressed their commitment to promote youth and sports cooperation within the Turkic World through collaborative actions.

During the meeting, it was decided that the next Meeting of the Ministers of Youth and Sports of the OTS will be held in Uzbekistan, while the 6th World Nomad Games will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2026.
