The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H. E. Baghdad Amreyev attended the show of the National ballet of Uzbekistan “Lazgi –dance of soul and love” staged at Atatürk Cultural Centre in Istanbul on June 21, 2022.
The ballet performance that was patronized by Ms. Saida Mirziyoyeva, Deputy Chairperson of the Council of the Arts and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, was attended by Mr. Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, H.E. Alisher Agzamkhodjaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ankara, high level government officials, academicians as well as other guests.
As part of the event, Baghdad Amreyev and Saida Mirziyoyeva exchanged views on the excellent performance of the national ballet of Uzbekistan, mastery of dance groups that is to contribute to the popularization of Uzbek art in Türkiye as well as the strengthening the cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
B. Amreyev and S.Mirziyoyeva emphasized that the oldest national dance “Lazgi”, which is included to the List of the intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO, has a special place in the cultural life and art of Turkic peoples and mutual enrichment of Turkic culture and art. They agreed to join efforts for the continuation of staging the show in the Member States of the Organization.
