The Turkic Council attended the opening ceremony of the 12th Astana Economic Forum.
Dr. Ömer Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council attended the opening ceremony of the 12th Astana Economic Forum on 16 May 2019 in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan.

The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqayev. 

Politicians, high-ranking government officials, businesspeople, academicians, professionals from various sectors from around 75 countries, a total of 5 thousand delegates, take part in the forum annually. 

The Astana Economic Forum became a prominent international platform for leading experts discussing the issues regarding the global economy and financial system. This year the panel discussion covered topics from the human capital, urban development, and renewable energy to the development of venture capital funds and economic growth.

The meeting of the Turkic Business Council will be hosted by the Secretariat of the Turkic Council on 17 May 2019 in Nur-Sultan on the sidelines of the Astana Economic Forum. The parties will discuss agenda of the Turkic Business Council and sign a constituent document of the Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), the Statute of the TCCI.
