Turkic Council delegation headed by the Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev participated as exhibitor in the Caspian Innovation Technologies Exhibition hosted by the President of Turkmenistan, H.E. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on 11 August 2019 in Turkmenbashi International Sea Port, where 57 foreign and 62 local companies took part.
During the exhibition, the visitors and business communities from the Caspian region countries were presented with the activities of the Turkic Council as well as its latest projects in the economic field, in particular Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sister Ports process, Turkic Business web portal and Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package. Turkic Council pavilion attracted great attention from the visitors.
Secretary General B. Amreyev visited the national pavilions of the Member States; Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan as well as those of the private sector representatives of Turkey.
During the exhibition, Secretary General met with the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Rufat Mammadov and Acting President of Azpromo, Mr. Yusif Abdullayev and exchanged information on the preparations of the activities to be organized in the framework of the 7th Turkic Council Summit.
B. Amreyev also had talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan responsible for trade Mr. Chary Gylyjov and discussed further cooperation opportunities between the Turkic Council and Turkmenistan in the fields of mutual interest. He also invited Turkmen businessmen to take part in the Business Forum to be organized on the margins of the 7th Turkic Council Summit in Baku.
Secretary General also gave interview to “Miras” Channel of Turkmenistan, where he expressed satisfaction with brotherly relations between the Turkic Council Member States and Turkmenistan; and hoped for Turkmenistan and Turkic Council to closely cooperate in the coming years.
Deputy Secretary General Gismat Gozalov, Project Directors Ozge Pan and Farrukh Jumayev assisted the Secretary General during the exhibition.
