Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev chaired the 22nd SOC Meeting attended by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ramiz Hasanov and senior officials of the Foreign Ministries of the Member States of the Turkic Council on 3-4 September 2019 in Baku.
Senior Representatives from Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TURKPA), Turkic Academy and Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Parties exchanged views regarding the preparation process of the Seventh Summit of the Turkic Council, which will take place on 14-15 October in Baku this year. The Parties discussed at length the agenda, a draft decisions and related documents to be signed and adopted during the upcoming 7th Summit of the Turkic Council, as well as documents related to the opening of the Representation Office of the Turkic Council in Hungary and draft agenda of the Extraordinary Meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers of the Turkic Council to be held in Hungary on 19 September 2019.
Azerbaijani side made also presentation regarding the agenda and side events of the Summit, as well as activities and cultural programs to be organized on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Nakhchivan Agreement.
Secretary General was accompanied by Deputy Secretaries General Ömer Kocaman and Gismat Gozalov, Project Directors Ali Çiviler, Jeyhun Shahverdiyev, Özge Pan and Farrukh Jumayev.
