H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), visited the Tashkent International University (TIU), the Chairperson of the Turkic Universities Union (TURKUNIB) for 2025-2026 term, in Tashkent on 13 November 2025.

During the visit Ambassador Omuraliev met with H.E. Iskandar Yuldashev, Rector of TIU. The parties discussed matters related to the effective organization of the university’s chairmanship of TURKUNIB, as well as ways to strengthen academic cooperation among Turkic universities.

The new official website of TURKUNIB was also presented to the Secretary General, and both sides agreed to launch it in the near future.

It should be noted that TIU hosted the 8th General Assembly of TURKUNIB on 15 October 2025 in Tashkent, marking another significant milestone in promoting educational collaboration within the Turkic world.
