Today marks the 75th anniversary of the great statesman, Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY Ambassador Dusen Kaseinov, who served in the name of culture and the Turkic cooperation for decades with a high merit and sincerity.
During his extraordinary career Professor Kasseinov has shown his true devotion to the cultural diplomacy. He is well known for being a beloved person in the Turkic World for his great contributions and sincere feelings toward all brotherly nations.
It has been seen by both Kazakhstan and the Turkic World that thanks to his humanitarian characteristics Prof. Kasseinov, possessing uniquely important abilities as a statesman, is an exemplary personality for everyone.
Due to the outstanding services and leadership by Prof. Kaseinov, TURKSOY has so far become the sole and main cultural cooperation institution of the Turkic World and the "UNESCO" of Turkic peoples.
As he explained on his own, despite being entrusted with high positions such as rector, Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan and Secretary General of TURKSOY during his career, he is also a talented musician and artist that helps him deliver his words and thoughts to the hearts and minds of the people.
This is one of the most elegant characteristic components of Prof. Kaseinov demonstrating his pure qualification for such a relevant international position for all these years. D. Kaseinov has been exploiting all of his abilities and professionalism to bolster the cultural bonds between the Turkic communities all over the World which is also reflected in the increased effectiveness of the Organization that he headed for the last decade.
Prof. Kaseinov's great professionalism was numerously and widely rewarded highly in the Turkic World and beyond - as he was awarded the Order of Friendship (2007) by the Russian Federation, Medal of Culture (2007) by Poland, Medal of Respect (2001), Order of Parasat (2007), Order of Friendship (2012) by Kazakhstan, Order of Friendship (2013) by Azerbaijan, Medal of Mahtumkulu Firaki (2015) by Turkmenistan, Distinguished Service Award (2017) by Turkey and Order of Danaker (2018) by the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2021, Ambassador Kasseinov received the Distinguished Service Award “Nazir Torekulov” medal by Kazakhstan. Furthermore, on 9 March 2022 H.E. President of Azerbaijan Mr Ilham Aliyev awarded the "Honorary Diploma of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan" to Dusen Kaseinov for his fruitful activities in TURKSOY as well as his precious efforts rendered to the development of cultural relations between the Member States of TURKSOY.
This year also marks the culmination of Ambassador Kaseinov’s mission in the capacity of the Secretary General of TURKSOY. During the past 14 years, his ideas, projects and leadership helped in transforming the TURKSOY into an internationally well-known player in global cultural diplomacy.
In this vein the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States is honoured to cordially congratulate Prof. Dusen Kaseinov on this very historically significant day and wish him a sound health, prosperity as well as the best of luck in his future endeavors.
