Deputies of the Secretary General of Turkic Council Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly and Dr. Ömer Kocaman participated in the program organized by TRT Avaz Channel on 15 December 2016 in Ankara, which was dedicated for the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The program was organized on the basis of the Protocol of Cooperation among the National TV Channels of the Turkic Council, which was signed in Astana in August 2015, where the national TV channels, namely the Public TV of Azerbaijan, Khabar TV Channel of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz TV Channel and TRT TV Channel, agreed to allocate certain time frames in their broadcast streams for the programs related to the Member States and the Turkic world in general.
As a pilot project, the national TV channels agreed to exchange the films and programs and screen them during the National Days of the Member States, namely on 28 May – Republic Day of Azerbaijan, on 16 December – Independence Day of Kazakhstan, on 31 August - Independence Day of Kyrgyzstan and on 29 October – Republic Day of Turkey, as well as on 3 October - Turkic Speaking States Cooperation Day (the signing day of the Nakhchivan Agreement).
Accordingly, the above-mentioned channels have agreed to screen two films devoted to the achievements of the Republic of Kazakhstan, entitled “Heart of Eurasia” and “Route to the Future” (received from “Khabar” Kazakhstan TV Channel) on 15-16 December 2016 in their countries.
