Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Dr. Mirvokhid Azimov held an online meeting with the Chairman of the Committee of the Organization for Cooperation of Railways (OSJD) H.E. Miroslaw Antonowicz and Deputy Chairman Mr. Mikhail Vsevolozhskiy on 29 March 2023.
During the meeting, parties exchanged views on the activities of the two organizations in the field of transport and transit with a particular emphasis on promoting the development of railway connectivity among the Member States.
Highlighting the potential and possibilities for deepening close cooperation, the parties discussed the opportunities for further collaboration and agreed to explore ways to promote sustainable development through the digitalization of transport and transit procedures and the implementation of multimodal transportation solutions.
The Parties also discussed further strengthening the mechanisms of collaboration through the signing of the MoU between the two organizations and expressed their commitment to consolidate their efforts for taking joint initiatives and realizing practically significant projects aimed at enhancing cooperation in railway transport in the vast Eurasian region
