First Meeting of the Foreign Policy Research Official Centers of the Member States of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (the Turkic Council) was hosted in Baku on 8 May 2015 by SAM Azerbaijan (Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey).
Heads of the Foreign Policy Research Official Centers of the Member States, as well as Deputy Director General of the Institute for Foreign Relations and Trade of Hungary participated in the meeting.
Furthermore, Elder of Azerbaijan of the Turkic Council, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries, Acting President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Ambassadors of the Member States and Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Hungary to the Republic of Azerbaijan and representatives of Azerbaijani authorities were present at the event.
The meeting was moderated by Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov. Secretary General Ambassador Hasanov gave information on the background of the cooperation that has been launched. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possible cooperation areas with regard to this field in the framework of the Turkic Council among their respective institutions.
Prior to the meeting, Secretary General Ambassador Hasanov, Elder of Azerbaijan of the Turkic Council and the Directors of the Foreign Policy Research Centers together with the other participants visited the museum room of famous Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hacibeyov, preserved originally in the building of SAM Azerbaijan.
Pelin Musabay Baki, Zamin Aliyev, Yedil Myrzakhanov, Project Directors of the Turkic Council, and Emre Yurdakul, Chief of Protocol were in charge for coordination of the said meeting.
