The International Conference on 'Jadids: Ideas of National Identity, Independence, and Statehood' took place on December 11–12, 2023, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Hosted by H.E. Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, and attended by OTS Secretary General, H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, as well as high-level officials from Turkic states and other countries, the Conference aimed to inspire younger generations to shape their future based on science and education, grounded in authentic history, fostering stronger bonds among Turkic peoples.
At the outset of the conference, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, sent an address to the participants of the Conference, delivered by the President’s Adviser, H.E. Khayriddin Sultanov.
Secretary General Omuraliev also emphasized that convening this conference during the "Year of the Rise of Turkic Civilization," declared at the Samarkand Summit of the Organization, and within the context of "TURKTIME" announced during the recent Astana Summit, holds unique symbolic significance for the Turkic states.
The Secretary General also underscored that the Jadids movement holds significant relevance in enhancing Turkic unity, fostering advancements in science and education, and revitalizing society.
