On the occasion of the 29th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on behalf of the Turkic Council and on my own behalf, I have the pleasure to extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and brotherly people of Uzbekistan.
Throughout the centuries, Uzbekistan has had a pivotal role in Central Asia with its rich political, economic, religious and intellectual influence and set a precedent for continuous and stable development and prosperity in its region. The country has also made notable contribution to the world civilization with its rich heritage flourished at the heart of the Great Silk Road.
Notably, Uzbekistan has recently taken the long-awaited strategic decision to embrace the Turkic world based on its common history, language, culture and destiny. I am confident that this wise decision opened up new bright prospects for the brotherly Uzbekistan to project its political, economic and social potential and will bring about a huge turnout for the brotherly people of Uzbekistan in terms of economic and social gaining.
I sincerely wish that Uzbekistan will continue under the astute leadership of President H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, unabated its impressive development and successes in performing crucial transformations in economy, social and political life and keep holding the privileged position it has well-deserved on the international scene.
I take this auspicious occasion to wish continued success, progress and prosperity to the Republic of Uzbekistan and brotherly Uzbek people.
