During his visit to attend the OECD Eurasia Week in Paris, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, H.E. Péter Szijjártó, on 13 December 2023.
The meeting delved into the results of the successful 10th Jubilee Summit of the Organization held in Astana last month. The talks extended to explore key aspects of the OTS -Hungary cooperation agenda, including the Turkic Investment Fund, the OTS Drought Prevention Institute as well as future initiatives in the framework of Hungary's proposal to empower Turkic States in bridging East and West.
Furthermore, the meeting explored the undertakings of the OTS Budapest Representation Office. The Secretary General and the Minister exchanged views on the significant role played by the Budapest Representation Office in fostering cooperation and understanding between the Organization of Turkic States and the European institutions.
The meeting underscored the commitment to strengthening ties between the Turkic States and Hungary, setting the stage for impactful regional and global partnerships.
