Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Secretary of Defense Industries of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye H.E. Haluk Görgün on 4 February 2025 at the premises of the Secretariat of the Defense Industries in Ankara to discuss and initiate cooperation among the Turkic States in the field of the defense industry.

Underlining the instructions of the Heads of State given at the OTS Summits and the statutory documents of the Organization, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening defense collaboration among the Member States to enhance technological advancement and industrial capabilities in defense industry sector in the OTS countries. 

The discussions focused on initiatiating multilateral coordination among the relevant institutions of the OTS countries, fostering joint research and development projects, as well as establishing mechanisms for knowledge-sharing and capacity-building.
