The 11th Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) convened in Bishkek on 6 November 2024 within the framework of the 11th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
Hosted by H.E. Zheenbek Kulubayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and attended by H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, H.E. Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, H.E. Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and H.E. Amb.Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS.
Chairman of the Council of Elders (Aksakal), as well as the Heads of TURKPA, TURKSOY, Turkic Academy, Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Turkic Investment Fund, and the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry have also attended the meeting. The meeting primarily focused on the preparations for the forthcoming 11th OTS Summit to be held on 6 November 2024 in Bishkek. In this context, Secretary General Omuraliev provided the Foreign Ministers with overview of the draft agenda and the key documents expected to be signed during the meeting of Council of Heads of State (CHS).
The Foreign Ministers discussed in detail the agenda and the program of the meeting of the CHS scheduled to take place in Bishkek on 6 November 2024, reviewed the decisions to be signed by the Heads of State. The Ministers also exchanged views on the issues of multilateral cooperation among the Member States in the political, economic and cultural areas.
