Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev held a meeting with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the Council of Prosecutors General of the OTS H.E. Kamran Aliyev on 6 July 2023 in Baku.
The Secretary General underscored the importance of the establishment of the Council of Prosecutors General of the OTS on 1 November 2021 upon the initiative of the Azerbaijani side to contribute to the development of the multilateral cooperation in the legal spheres among the Member and Observer States of the OTS.
The parties also touched upon the international seminar for young prosecutors within the framework of the Council of Prosecutors General of the OTS held on 8-9 August 2022 in Baku. It was emphasized that organizing such conferences and seminars on a regular basis specifically tailored for young prosecutors serve as valuable platforms for knowledge exchange, skill development, and networking opportunities among the next generation of legal professionals. They expressed their shared commitment to continuing such initiatives in order to support and empower young prosecutors in their professional growth and development.
The Secretary General and the Prosecutor General also discussed the preparations for the upcoming 2nd Meeting of the Council of Prosecutors in Ankara and exchanged views on the further development of relations among the law enforcement and judicial authorities of the OTS countries.
