Turkic Council Secretary General met with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan
Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.E. Baghdad Amreyev had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan H.E. Abdulaziz Kamilov on 25 June 2021 in Tashkent.

Secretary General and  Foreign Minister discussed the ongoing activities of the Turkic Council  towards strengthening solidarity, enhancing trade and economic cooperation in the Turkic region. 

Parties underlined the importance of timely implementing the initiatives put forward by the Heads of States during the Turkestan Informal Summit.

A. Kamilov and B. Amreyev exchanged views on the core issues that are on the current agenda of the Turkic Council, including the preparations for the upcoming Summit of the Turkic Council planned to be held in November in Istanbul.

They highlighted the successful convening of the 6th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Tourism of the Turkic Council that was held on 24 June 2021 in Kokand, Uzbekistan. 

The Minister and the Secretary General stressed the need for boosting the economic  component of cooperation with a  focus on targeting practically significant projects within the Turkic Council. 

Highlighting the extensive agenda of the upcoming meeting of Ministers in charge of Economy planned to be held in Baku in July, Parties expressed hope that it would contribute to leveling up the economic cooperation among the Member and Observer States. 

Parties also talked over other important regional and global issues of mutual concern.
