The Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, who is in Baku on the occasion of the International Conference dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate and 170th anniversary of Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev, met with Ambassador Novruz Mammadov, Deputy Secretary General and Chief of Department of Foreign Relations of Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Hasanov gave information about the Turkic Council activities realized as end of the year 2015 and about the activities and projects planned to be implemented in the year 2016.
Ambassador Mammadov in return expressed the importance they attach to the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey and mentioned that President of the Republic of Azerbaihan H.E. Ilham Aliyev considers also this way. He also expressed their satisfaction with the activities of the Turkic Council and underlined that the continuing support of Azerbaijan to the activities of the Turkic Council will increase thereafter.
