Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly paid a courtesy visit to the office of UN Economic Comission for Europe in Geneva on 17 October 2014 and held a bilateral meeting with Mrs. Eva Molnar, Director of Transport Division of UN ECE in order to talk about the transport projects along the Silk Road.
Mr. Saparbekuly discussed the possible ways and means of cooperation between the two organizations. Particularly, they exchanged views on the latest projects and activities of the organizations in the field of transport.
Parties agreed to study cooperation of the organizations in order to elaborate the possible contributions of joint cooperation in transport area. It was noted that Turkic Council could share its activities and join to the discussions and activities held by UN ECE and UNESCAP as well as SPECA which can open a new perspectives for both organizations.
