Election Observation Mission of the Organization of Turkic States Concludes Observations for Kyrgyzstan’s Elections

The Election Observation Mission of the Organization of Turkic States, led by Dr. Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, issued a statement at a press conference at the Central Commission on Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic following its short-term observation on the recent Elections of Deputies of Local Councils of the Kyrgyz Republic on 18 November 2024.

During the Elections, the Mission observed 16 polling stations across the cities of Bishkek and Kant, monitoring the opening and closing procedures at the designated sites. The Mission noted smooth and transparent election process, reporting no noticable irregularities, and underlined that polling stations were well-prepared, equipped, and accessible for citizens, including those with disabilities.

The Mission concluded that the elections were conducted transparently, adhering to domestic legislation and international standards. The OTS Mission congratulated the citizens of Kyrgyzstan on the successful elections and expressed the belief that the results of the elections would contribute to further development and prosperity in the country, empowering the unity of the Kyrgyz society as well as strengthening the brotherly relations within the Turkic World.
