The 1st Meeting of Ministers in charge of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held on 26 October 2024 in Istanbul.

H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States as well as Ministers of Indsutry, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Member States and Observers addressed the meeting chaired by H.E. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.

In his remarks Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev welcomed the signing of the Declaration of the 1st meeting of Ministers of Industry and STI as well as adoption of the Action Plan of the new platform covering joint activities in the fields of Quality Infrastructure, R&D Collaboration, Green Transformation of Industry, Organized Industrial Zones, Technoparks, Digital Transformation, and Space Technologies, given that the plan is set to advance economic independence, national security, and global competitiveness for the fraternal countries.

It was also agreed that the next meeting of Ministers of Industry, Science and Technology of the OTS will be held in 2025 in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
