Message of Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov regarding the Day of Remembrance of 26 February Khojaly Genocide:

Message of Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov regarding the Day of Remembrance of 26 February Khojaly Genocide:
The events of the night of 25-26 February 1992 in Khojaly, where the defenseless civilians, young, elderly, women and children are massacred in a comprehensive manner, have unfortunately taken its place in history, as one of the most painful and bloody events not only of the Republic of Azerbaijan but also of the world.
To avoid recurrence of similar painful events, still happening in different parts of the world, we must keep alive the memories of those who lost their lives during the genocide in Khojaly and continue to explain what happened there on every platform. It is our greatest wish that peace and stability will prevail in our region as well as all around the world and all people live in tranquility.
We commemorate with deep respect and mercy all the martyrs who lost their lives during this accursed genocide in Khojaly and respectfully bow in front of their esteemed memories.
Ambassador Ramil Hasanov
Secretary General of the Turkic Council
