Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev delivered a speech at opening ceremony of the 26th Eurasian Economic Summit of the Marmara Group Foundation under the motto "End The Distrust, Build The Cooperation" dedicated to “100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye” on 14 March 2023 in Istanbul.
During his speech, Secretary General Omuraliev expressed his condolences to the brotherly people of Turkiye and victims of devastating earthquake and stated that the Turkic world was mobilized and showed strong solidarity in this disaster.
Recalling that the Turkic States continue to offer their support given the needs of the disaster areas, Omuraliev said they will confidently stand by the Turkish people to overcome this difficult time.
Expressing that the successful cooperation of the Turkic States under the umbrella of the OTS has turned into a constructive, predictable and comprehensive dialogue, Secretary General noted that the last Istanbul and Samarkand Summits have become a historic turning point for the Turkic world, by strengthening unity and integrity of the Turkic States.
Stressing that OTS encourages cooperation in many different areas Ambassador Omuraliev emphasized that the Organization became a promising platform for building new regional and global landscapes with their new institutions and stimulating economic development of the Turkic region, and pointed out that behind the great achievements of OTS there is a strong will and determined stance of the people and Heads of State.
The Secretary General reaffirmed the readiness of the OTS to further contribute to the efforts to achieve a stronger, better integrated, and more united Turkic world.
