Upon the invitation of H.E. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States participated at the World Leaders Climate Action Summit held on 12 November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Summit brought together heads of states and governments, high-level policymakers, heads of international organizations and corresponding ministries, leading international experts and representatives of the mess media from all the parts of the world, giving a start to the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 29) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). 

Within the framework of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit Secretary General had short and “on the go” meetings with Heads of State and Governments of different countries including Member States and Observers of the OTS, Foreign Ministers, heads of international organizations and other high-level officials.  
Moreover, Secretary General gave interviews to local and foreign journalists and media outlets answering the questions they are interested in.
