Panel Session on "The Current State and Future Prospects of Turkic Cooperation" was held in Ankara

The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) hosted a panel session titled "The Current State and Future Prospects of Turkic Cooperation" in Ankara on 3 October 2024. The event was organized to honor the 15th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Agreement, which established the OTS, and to celebrate "3 October – Turkic States Cooperation Day." Esteemed heads of Turkic Cooperation Organizations gathered to discuss the achievements, challenges, and future directions of cooperation among the Turkic States.
The session commenced with an opening address by H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS. In his speech, Secretary General Omuraliev highlighted the progress made in enhancing political, economic, and cultural ties among Turkic nations and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration for the prosperity and unity of the Turkic world.
Following the Secretary General’s address, a panel discussion was held featuring distinguished panelists from Turkic Cooperation Organizations; H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund; H.E. Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev, President of the Turkic Academy; H.E. Prof. Dr. Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation; H.E. Mehmet Süreyya Er, Secretary General of TURKPA; H.E. Sayit Yusuf, Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY, as well as H.E. Adem Kula, Secretary General of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Throughout the discussion, the panelists explored various aspects of Turkic cooperation, including economic development, cultural heritage, education, and mutual support in addressing regional challenges. They also elaborated on the ways to deepen collaboration in light of current global trends and the dynamic geopolitical environment.
An interactive Q&A session followed, offering the audience a unique opportunity to engage directly with the panelists.
