Within the framework of his official contacts in Baku, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov visited Nazım Ibrahimov, Minister of State in Charge of Diaspora Issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 9 February 2017.
Secretary General Hasanov informed Minister Ibrahimov about the activities of the Turkic Council, gave detailed explanations specifically about the work carried out in the field of diaspora and exchanged ideas with the Minister Ibrahimov on planned diaspora activities to be carried out in the near future.
State Minister Responsible for Diaspora Affairs Nazim Ibrahimov thanked Secretary General Hasanov for his visit and for the information he provided and expressed his views on the work to be carried out in the field of diaspora.
Minister Ibrahimov also expressed the need to organize "Turkic World Diaspora Forum" in the fall of 2017 with the contribution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey within the context of continuing diaspora cooperation under the umbrella of the Turkic Council. Minister Ibrahimov also expressed their readiness to open the 2nd Turkic Council Diaspora Regional Center at an appropriate time in Berlin.
