Secretary General visited the premises of the OTS Representation Office in Budapest
Within the framework of his visit to Budapest, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev visited the premises of the OTS Representation Office in Budapest, Ybl Villa and had a coordination meeting with the newly appointed Executive Director of the Representation Office Prof. Dr. István Vásáry and the staff members of the Office.

 

Secretary General congratulated the new Executive Director Prof. Dr. Vásáry on his appointment and wish him a successful tenure. 

Secretary General discussed with the Staff the past and ongoing activities of the OTS Representation Office and shared his views on enhancing multifaceted cooperation of the OTS countries with Hungary and European institutions.

Participants discussed the Annual Activity Plan of the Representation Office for 2024, as well as put forth their practical views and recommendations for securing enhanced coordination between the OTS Secretariat and the Representation Office. During the discussions, participants also touched upon several key topics, including developing institutional ties between the OTS and the European Union (EU) and the Joint Working Plan between the OTS and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary for supporting the development of the OTS-EU relations in 2024, as well as operationalizing the Drought Prevention Institute that was established within the framework of the Representation Office.
