The International Conference on the topic: “The role of Turkistan in the history of Turkic peoples” held in Tashkent on December 5-6, 2023.
The Conference was organized by the Organization of Turkic States in cooperation with the Journalism and Mass Communication University of Uzbekistan and the Geographical Council of Turkic States under the motto “There is no other salvation than knowledge” (Imam Bukhari).
The opening ceremony of the Conference was addressed by Mr. Oybek Norinboyev, Secretary General of the Geographic Council of Turkic States, Prof. Dr. Sherzod Kudratkhodja, Rector of Journalism and Mass Communications University, Mr. Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, Mr. Sayit Yusuf, Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY and others.
The participants of the event stressed that such Conferences will serve to unite the efforts of scientists and historians of Turkic countries in turning the science and education into a trend among young people, as well as preserving and popularizing the great cultural and historical heritage of Turkic peoples.
The Conference was attended by more than 100 leading international experts and scholars from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and other countries.
