The Opening Ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games was held on 8 September 2024 in Astana.

During his address, H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan emphasized the historical impact of nomadic civilizations and the importance of preserving their legacy. He also highlighted that the World Nomad Games not only mark traditional sports, but also promote cultural heritage of nomadic peoples was praised.

The Opening Ceremony which was succesfully hosted by Kazakhstan served as a magnificient start for ethnosports tournament engaging athletes from more than 80 countries.
