The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev and Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Mr. Gerd Müller have signed a Joint Declaration to strengthen their collaboration in promoting inclusive and sustainable industrial development. The signing ceremony took place in UNIDO Headquarters in Vienna, marking a significant step towards fostering regional cooperation and development.
The Joint Declaration outlines a shared commitment to advancing clean energy, environmental sustainability, digital transformation, and agro-industrial value chains in the Turkic region and beyond. Moreover, the document emphasizes the importance of supporting the private sector, enhancing trade competitiveness, and building institutional capacity. It also highlights the intention to engage in joint initiatives, knowledge sharing, and capacity-building activities.
After the signing ceremony Ambassador Omuraliev and Mr. Müller delivered short remarks on the importance of the signed Joint Declaration and held bilateral meeting. The sides expressed intention to further deepen cooperation among two organizations.
