Within the framework of his official visit to Astana, Turkic Council Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov gave an interview to Khabar 24 TV Channel on 4 April 2017.
In his interview, Secretary General Hasanov touched upon the ongoing activities and projects of the Turkic Council. He also gave information about organization’s links with other international organizations including UN and its specialized bodies.
Emphasizing the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev’s initiative in the establishment of the Turkic Council, Secretary General briefed on the recent successes of Turkic Council’s affiliated organizations such as TurkPA, TURKSOY and International Turkic Academy.
He mentioned that, representing the joint will of member states, Turkic Council is committed to contribute to peace, stability and prosperity in the region and beyond through the multitude of projects in a wide spectrum of areas ranging from economy to tourism, from transport to energy, from customs to sustainable development and from education to youth and sports.
In the continuation of the interview, Secretary General gave emphasis on the cooperation among the member states adding that the doors of the organization are always open for other two Turkic states Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Finally, he reported on the outcomes of his official visit to Astana stating that Turkic Council will take an active part in the framework of the Astana Expo-2017 activities.
