Turkic Women entrepreneurs gathered in Astana

Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Mr. Merey Mukazhan participated and addressed the 3rd session of the General Assembly of Council of Women Entrepreneurs of Turkic States of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) and the Business Forum of Women entrepreneurs of Turkic States held on 19 November 2024 in Astana. The General Assembly was for the first time organized in Central Asia.

The events were moderated by the Chairperson of Council of Women Entrepreneurs of TCCI Ms. Lazzat Ramazanova as well as attended by members of the TCCI Council of Women Entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan. For the first time events were attended by the Ministers, Members of Parliaments and Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Having updated the participants on the OTS activities aimed at supporting the small and medium sized enterprises (SME) since the previous session of the General Assembly, in his remarks Deputy Secretary General expressed his confidence that business women's contributions will enhance the Turkic cooperation in the fields of social policy, trade and SME development.

Chairperson of Council of Women Entrepreneurs of TCCI presented the first interethnic Turkic project for rural development called “From Steppe to Store”. Ms. Lazzat Ramazanova announced that name of the Council has changed into “Turkic World Business Forum”. The 4th  session of the General Assembly will take place in Kazakhstan.
